Create the subscription

1. Open the required schedule and choose Calendar (.ics) in the export menu.
2. Select which shifts and events should be included.
3. Create the subscription and copy its URL.
4. Add that URL as an internet or subscribed calendar in your calendar service.

Where to add the URL

Use the web version of Google Calendar to add a calendar by URL; it will then appear on Android devices signed in to the same Google account. Yandex Calendar, Apple Calendar and Outlook also support calendar subscriptions by URL.

Calendar applications choose their own refresh interval, so saved changes may appear with a delay.

Subscription or downloaded file

The subscription covers the previous 3 months and the next 24 months. Its moving period and saved schedule data update automatically through the same URL.

A downloaded ICS file contains only the year or period currently selected in Shift-Calendar. It is a one-time snapshot for import and never updates by itself.

Control access

ICS files are generated when requested and are not stored on the server. The subscription is not published in search engines, but anyone who has its URL can read the included calendar data.

If the URL reaches someone else, create a new subscription link or disable the subscription. The previous URL will stop working.
